BHT (Behavioral Health Technician)

Shifts Available:
Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) 3 x 12 and every other weekend rotation About Solero Behavioral Transitions Solero Behavioral Transitions offers a safe, structured environment for adults managing substance use and mental health challenges. As a dual diagnosis outpatient program, we provide integrated treatment for individuals with primary substance use or mental health disorders.
Responsibilities include:
Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs). Monitor patients for behavioral, psychiatric, medical, and withdrawal-related changes; report concerns to the RN. Perform routine clinical tasks such as vital signs, blood glucose checks, and withdrawal observations (CIWA/COWS). Maintain patient safety through frequent rounding, observation, searches, and visitor monitoring. Assist with admissions, patient orientation, and discharge processes. Facilitate and document therapeutic group activities focused on recovery and coping skills. Respond effectively to crisis situations using de-escalation and intervention techniques. Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic milieu in accordance with facility policies. Communicate professionally and collaboratively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Must be 21 or older Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Behavioral Health field is a plus. Demonstration of group facilitation skills, knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatments. Crisis intervention skills. Handle with Care training/certification preferred, but will train.
