Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing mental health challenges, including those with mental health, behavioral, and addiction issues. Your primary focus will be on delivering patient care, assisting in crisis intervention, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients in a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health conditions. Assist in the administration of medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions. Implement crisis prevention & intervention strategies when necessary to ensure patient safety. Engage with patients through therapeutic activities and support their daily living skills. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Monitor patients' behavior and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team. Support patients in managing their emotional and behavioral challenges effectively. Requirements High school diploma or GED Background check Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques is essential. (We will train you) Experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health setting is a plus. Familiarity with addiction counseling practices is beneficial. Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
