Our brand-new dual-diagnosis behavioral health treatment center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our growing team. BHTs play a critical role in supporting clients through their recovery journey by maintaining safety, providing structure, and ensuring a therapeutic environment. The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, dependable, and passionate about working with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
Schedule:
PART TIME
WEEKENDS Night shift: Sat-Sun 7p-7:30a Day shift: Sat-Sun 7a-7:30p Key Responsibilities Provide direct support, supervision, and guidance to clients throughout daily programming and facility routines. Conduct and document regular client observations in accordance with program policies and state regulations. Assist clients with daily living activities, transportation needs, and participation in scheduled groups or appointments. Support clinical and medical staff with crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and maintaining a safe milieu. Facilitate community meetings, educational groups, or recreational activities as assigned. Perform client intakes, orientation, belongings searches, and room checks following facility protocols. Ensure all documentation—including notes, logs, and incident reports—is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Model healthy boundaries and encourage recovery-focused behaviors and decision-making. Assist with urine drug screens, breathalyzers, vitals, and other monitoring procedures when needed. Maintain facility cleanliness, order, and safety standards throughout all shifts. Transport clients safely to appointments, outings, or meetings (valid driver's license required). Qualifications Prior experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential care, or a related field preferred but not required—training provided. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and professionally. Ability to manage high-stress situations, including crises or behavioral escalations. Reliability, professionalism, and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Basic computer skills for documentation and communication. A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and any required state credentialing or onboarding processes. Schedule & Work Environment Full-time positions available across multiple shifts (day, evening, overnight) . Fast-paced residential or inpatient setting with supportive leadership and training.
