We are seeking a Psychiatric Technician to join our team in our Bethlehem, PA location. Position Details The Psychiatric Technician will: administer medication and therapeutic treatments, monitor for potential side effects and report
provide care in a manner that considers the patient's rights, safety, comfort and the overall therapeutic environment
observe, document and report resident behavior
monitor and document weights, blood pressure, pulse and respiration per MD orders and monthly for all residents
communicate with co-workers and supervisors in a timely manner that affects patient care or well-being
fill in resident charts
assist in orientation and training of new staff members, understand, and implement Merakey policies and procedures
order refills of medications,
act as lead staff when the Administrator or Asst. Administrator is not available.
complete all other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Mental Health experience is preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required Must be able to work PRN with weekends and holidays
Pay:
Earn $18.50 an hour with the selection of enhanced pay.Shift:
