Why Join DTAC Entry-level role with paid training provided Opportunity to transition from PRN to full-time Meaningful work supporting youth in a structured setting Team-oriented and supportive work environment Career growth opportunities within a growing organization Position Summary The Behavioral Health Technician assists Caseworkers and program staff in providing supervision, structure, and basic therapeutic support for youth in care. This role focuses on safety, engagement, and helping youth build positive behaviors and life skills. Key Responsibilities Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of residents Support appropriate behavior and social interaction Document daily activities, progress notes, and staff logs Assist with structured programming and recreational activities Participate in on-site and off-site activities with residents Engage youth in one-on-one interactions when appropriate Support youth in meeting treatment plan goals Co-facilitate group activities and assist clinical staff as needed Maintain communication with staff regarding shift availability and updates
Qualifications Required:
Highschool diploma or GED Strong reliability and willingness to learn Ability to work with adolescents in a structured environment
Preferred:
Experience working with youth or in residential/behavioral health settings Interest in pursuing a career in human services or behavioral health Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Valid driver's license Ability to obtain PA clearances (Act 33, Criminal History, FBI Act 73) Ability to pass Safe Crisis Management training Benefits 401(k) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Career advancement opportunities Work Location This is an in-person position based in Danville, PA (17821).
