The Psychiatric Technician is a brand-new role created specifically for this program and plays a vital part in supporting individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance use crises. Continuing Education Assistance ProgramFree Access to student loan management and repayment supportWhat You Bring RequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDAt least 1 year of direct patient care experience or equivalent education/certifications Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without accommodationPreferredPhlebotomy CertificationAssociate or bachelors degree in a related fieldExperience in crisis, detox, or acute psychiatric settingsKnowledge of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care Your Role As a Psychiatric Technician, you will provide handson support in a fastpaced, highacuity setting at the Bright Path Center, including 3.7 withdrawal management, crisis stabilization, and residential services.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitor patient safety and provide continuous supportAssist with activities of daily living (ADLs)Obtain vital signs, urine drug screens, and perform phlebotomy and specimen collectionObserve and report changes in patient conditionSupport admissions, discharges, and unit orientationParticipate in therapeutic activities and structured programmingUse de-escalation techniques during behavioral crisesMaintain a clean, safe, trauma-informed environmentDocument care accurately and timelyAbout Lenape Valley FoundationSince 1958, Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) has been a trusted non-profit provider of essential human services in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
