Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Monitor to ensure the safety and security of our facility, staff, and visitors. This role involves actively monitoring premises, managing access points, and responding promptly to incidents. The Security Monitor plays a vital part in maintaining a secure environment by utilizing strong communication skills, crisis intervention techniques, and behavioral health awareness. Duties Monitor security cameras, conduct patrols, and perform visual inspections to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity Control access to the facility by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents with appropriate crisis intervention and conflict management strategies Document and report security incidents accurately through detailed logs and incident reports Assist with behavioral health assessments and provide behavioral management support when necessary Support intake procedures for new clients or residents, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality Administer basic first aid or medication as required, following proper protocols and documentation standards Maintain security records, manage data entry tasks including filing and data collection to ensure organized documentation of all activities Experience Supervising experience in security, social work, or behavioral health settings preferred Proven ability to handle crisis situations with calmness and effective intervention techniques Experience working with children or in childcare environments is highly desirable Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and conflict management strategies beneficial Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs or home & community care experience is a plus Strong communication skills for effective interaction with diverse populations and team members Ability to perform data entry, filing, and recordkeeping accurately while maintaining confidentiality Certification in first aid or medication administration is advantageous Join us in creating a safe, supportive environment where everyone feels protected and valued. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
