Job Description
The Behavioral Health Specialist
- Non•Licensed works within an Integrated Model of Care designed to treat behavioral health patients utilizing a short-term therapy model within a primary care setting.
- certification and continued stay authorization process for all managed care companies.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling Two years of experience in behavioral health Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice. Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Knowledge of chemical dependency. Experience in Healthcare setting.License, Certification & Clearances:
AHA CPR and Act 33/73 Clearances Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police systemPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.). Travel may be expected locally between System locations.
