Job description: Behavioral Health Technician- Day & Night Shift PRN Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Health Technician to join our team in our brand new Psychiatric Hospital. In this role, you will work closely with Adult and older adults, to support their behavioral and emotional needs. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting positive behavioral outcomes. Duties Provide direct support to patients in hospital/Residential settings. Monitor and document client progress through data collection and medical documentation. Assist clients in developing social skills, coping strategies, and daily living skills. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Familiarity with crisis management and behavior management strategies. Understanding of PTSD care, trauma informed care and psychiatric treatment. Proficiency in medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and patient care protocols. Ability to maintain accurate medical records. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members. Compassionate approach to working with individuals facing various challenges in their lives.
