Job Description

Overview Mind & Mane, LLC is a dynamic team seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support our Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient (SAIOP), and Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) programs. The BHT plays a critical role in providing compassionate care and a proactive approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health, developmental, substance and behavioral challenges. In this vital role, you will support clients through personalized care plans, assist with daily activities, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment that promotes growth and recovery. Your dedication will help foster positive behavioral change and enhance overall well-being for those we serve. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support and supervision to clients in PSR, SAIOP, and SACOT programs Assist with daily program activities, group setup, and transitions between services Monitor client behavior and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment Support clients with skill-building activities (coping skills, daily living skills, social skills) Document client participation, behaviors, and progress (non-clinical documentation) Assist clinical staff (QP, AP, and Licensed Clinicians) during group sessions De-escalate conflicts and support crisis prevention efforts Maintain program cleanliness and organization Implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Assist with data collection to support individualized treatment plans. Engage with clients using therapeutic communication skills, including crisis intervention and crisis management when necessary, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain detailed medical documentation, records, and logs in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy. Collaborate with social workers, medical staff, and families to coordinate care, support behavioral health goals, and facilitate smooth transitions during treatment. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field (preferred) Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders (preferred) Experience in group settings, community programs, or behavioral health settings is a plus Required Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage behaviors and maintain professional boundaries Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment Basic computer and documentation skills Preferred (but not required) CPR/First Aid Certification CPI/NCI or de-escalation training Experience with Medicaid-funded services (PSR, SAIOP, SACOT) What Mind & Mane Offers Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth in the behavioral health field Ongoing training and professional development Meaningful work making a direct impact in the community How to Apply Submit your resume through Indeed.
