Essential duties and responsibilities: Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language Shift hours: Multiple full-time openings including weekdays, weeknights, and weekends On-call rotation for helping cover shifts as needed The Technician will serve people with mental health and substance use symptoms with criminal justice involvement Responsible for initial engagement with individuals served through the Diversion Center using a trauma-informed and person-centered approach Build rapid rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients in crisis situations Utilize trauma-informed and person-centered care principles to create a safe and supportive environment for clients Responsible for helping transport, prepare meals, and maintain a safe and clean environment for Diversion Center clients, and other duties associated with Diversion Center drop-offs Collaborate and participate in consultation and staffing with a multidisciplinary team of Diversion Center staff to help meet the needs of the people served by the Diversion Center Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised Required qualifications to be successful in the job: High school diploma or GED One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) test Must be able to maintain composure in a crisis situation Must be willing to work with Law Enforcement, TPC staff across all programs, and other community stakeholders Employees may be required to utilize their personal mobile phones for two-factor authentication (2FA).
