Job Description

Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian full-time Psychological Technician at the Fort Belvoir-sponsored Family Fairfax Ambulatory Ambulatory Care Centers in Fairfax, VA.
This contract position offers:
Monday-Friday Monday - Friday 0700-1530, 0730-1600, or 0800-1630 Health, Dental and 401(k) benefits Outpatient Setting Paid Holidays This position administers Psychological testing in support of Behavioral Health care and treatment.
Essential Functions:
Administers, ensures proper accuracy and completion by the patient, scores, and present results for Psychological tests under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist. Assists the physician, RN, Social Worker and other treatment team members in decision-making to ensure complete and appropriate information is shared. Identifies and reports any pertinent behavioral, medical, and/or psychosocial data to the physician, RN, and/or Social Worker. Serves as positive role model by establishing maintaining positive, therapeutic relationships and appropriate boundaries with patients and their guardians. Completes vital sign monitoring per policy. Provide patient privacy and comply with HIPAA.
Job Qualifications:
The job qualifications for this position are as follows: Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a Behavioral Health related discipline Must have prior, successful experience administering Psychological testing (examples: IQ tests, personality tests) Must have at least one year experience working in a Behavioral Health setting. Have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
