Pay Ranges:
Lead Mental Health Technician (MHT) : $19.00 - $21.00 per hour (Must have 2 yrs experience as MHT)
Senior Lead MHT:
$22.00 -$24.00 (Must have 4 yrs experience as MHT) 3rd Shift Milieu Manager $61,000+ (Must have 3 yrs experience in a supervisory role) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Mental Health Technician (MHT), Senior Lead MHT, and 3rd Shift Milieu Manager to oversee the safety, care, and well-being of individuals within a behavioral health or psychiatric setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of psychiatric care, and the ability to manage complex behavioral situations during overnight shifts. This role is vital in maintaining a therapeutic environment, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, and supporting staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful applicant will demonstrate expertise in crisis intervention, behavior management, and patient observation while fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere for both patients and staff. Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of mental health technicians during the 3rd shift to ensure consistent delivery of patient care and safety. Oversee patient monitoring, including observation and documentation of behavioral changes, medication administration, and response to crises. Implement and enforce behavioral management strategies to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive interactions among patients. Collaborate with clinical staff to develop individualized treatment plans and ensure adherence to psychiatric protocols. Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient observations, interventions, and progress in compliance with regulatory standards. Provide crisis intervention as needed, responding swiftly to emergent situations with professionalism and compassion. Lead staff training on psychiatric care procedures, medication safety, medical terminology, and behavioral health best practices. Foster a therapeutic milieu that promotes respect, dignity, and recovery for individuals receiving treatment. Requirements Proven experience working in psychiatric or behavioral health settings, including hospital or corrections facility medical clinics. Strong knowledge of psychiatry principles, crisis intervention techniques, and acute care procedures. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through behavior management strategies and patient observation skills. Experience with medication administration, medical records documentation, and patient monitoring systems. Excellent leadership skills with prior supervisory experience as a lead technician or manager in mental health environments. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to psychiatric care and behavioral health treatment plans. Ability to remain calm under pressure while handling complex situations involving individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges.
