Full Job Description Position Summary:
The per diem Mental Health Technician atWE LEVEL UP
is an on call position responsible for providing compassionate care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This role involves assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients.Position Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. Monitor and document patient behavior, vital signs, and progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the clinical team. Provide direct care and support to patients, including assistance with daily activities, therapeutic exercises, and crisis intervention as needed. Facilitate group therapy sessions and recreational activities designed to enhance social skills and emotional well-being. Maintain a safe and clean environment in compliance with health and safety regulations and facility policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and continuous care for patients. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health care. Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions and documentation.Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred. CPR Certification or ability to obtain by start date.Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a mental health setting, such as a psychiatric hospital, residential treatment center, or similar environment. Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Familiarity with mental health disorders and treatment plans. Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural competency in mental health care.Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-stress situations. Proficiency in documenting patient interactions and maintaining accurate records. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with mental health challenges.
