Job Description
With Women Wellness, a full-scope midwifery practice in Manchester, CT, is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team. We provide gynecological and obstetric care in office, with 24/7 birth/on call services for our patients provided at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Our full-time midwives typically enjoy a 3 day work week with 1 call shift and 2 office days per week. Our compensation package is highly competitive. We enjoy a pleasant, collegial, collaborative agreement with our back up physicians. Our practice has a great reputation in the community for providing personal, holistic patient care. While we would like to find an experienced midwife to join our team, we are also able to offer a unique fellowship opportunity for the right new graduate. Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience, scheduled hours, and additional skills possessed (ie contraceptive procedures, ultrasound, first assist, and colposcopy).

Graduation from nurse-midwifery program accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives, Current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board, Licensure by the State of Connecticut as a Licensed Nurse Midwife and Registered Nurse, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certified. Experience preferable, but will consider new graduates. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive midwifery care before, during, and after pregnancy, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal assessments. Perform risk assessment, monitor maternal-fetal status, and manage routine and complex obstetric conditions with evidence-based practices. Conduct newborn assessments, facilitate safe out-of-hospital and in-hospital births when indicated, and coordinate lactation support and postpartum follow-up. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams; document care in EMR/EHR; order and interpret relevant tests; and provide patient education on family planning, nutrition, and newborn care. Administer medications and injections as appropriate, perform suturing or minor procedures when needed, and participate in discharge planning and referrals.Job Type:
