Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM A Predictable Outpatient Schedule This opportunity is designed for a Certified Nurse Midwife seeking meaningful women's healthcare work with the consistency and stability of an outpatient practice. Position Summary Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing Women's Health team. The CNM will provide comprehensive outpatient gynecologic, reproductive, prenatal, and postpartum care. This position emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, patient education, and continuity of care. The CNM works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, clinical leadership, and community partners to deliver coordinated, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. Essential Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient prenatal and postpartum care Perform well-woman examinations, acute visits, preventive care, and family-planning services Deliver evidence-based outpatient care to obstetric patients Diagnose and manage common gynecologic and reproductive health conditions Prescribe medications, contraceptives, and other treatments in accordance with Florida law Provide contraceptive counseling and perform LARC insertion and removal Perform colposcopies, gynecologic biopsies, and other appropriate in-office procedures Provide perimenopausal and menopausal care Order, review, interpret, and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic testing Make appropriate referrals for additional testing, specialty care, treatment, and follow-up services Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic health record documentation Complete billing charges and clinical tasks within organizational timelines Collaborate closely with Women's Health providers, nursing staff, medical assistants, and clinical leadership Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff and medical assistants Participate in peer review, quality-improvement initiatives, and accreditation-readiness activities Support the education and supervision of residents, graduate nursing students, and allied health professionals when assigned Assist with the coordination of clinical operations within the Women's Health department Participate in limited telephone or after-hours coverage when assigned Practice at multiple TFHC locations when operationally necessary Comply with HIPAA, federal, state, accreditation, HRSA, and TFHC requirements Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or post-graduate certificate from an accredited nurse-midwifery program Current Certified Nurse Midwife credential through the American Midwifery Certification Board Active and unrestricted Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license Current Basic Life Support certification Two to three years of experience in midwifery, obstetrics, or women's health preferred Experience performing in-office gynecologic procedures preferred Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills Ability to exercise professional judgment within the scope of licensure Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Proficiency with electronic health record systems and basic computer applications Bilingual English and Spanish skills preferred but not required Benefits and Rewards TFHC offers a comprehensive provider benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, work-life balance, and professional growth: Competitive compensation Medical and pharmacy coverage with low-cost employee premiums Benefits eligibility beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment Dental and vision insurance $0 employee copays for eligible care received through TFHC Generous paid time off Seven paid company holidays CME days and professional-development support Annual licensing stipend 401(k) retirement program with employer contribution after one year Company-paid FTCA malpractice coverage Employer-paid basic life and AD&D insurance Employer-paid long-term disability coverage after applicable eligibility requirements Voluntary short-term disability coverage Employee Assistance Program Voluntary accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and pet insurance Student loan refinancing and financial-wellness resources Federal Student Loan Repayment Opportunities Eligible Certified Nurse Midwives may qualify for federal student loan repayment through HRSA programs, including the National Health Service Corps or Nurse Corps, when assigned to a qualifying TFHC location. These programs may provide substantial repayment of qualifying educational debt in exchange for an approved service commitment. Loan repayment is separate from TFHC salary, paid time off, retirement contributions, insurance coverage, and other employment benefits. Awards are administered directly by HRSA and depend on individual eligibility, qualifying educational debt, assigned location, facility designation, service commitment, available federal funding, and current program requirements.
