Alliance Obstetrics & Gynecology Group is a private practice in Winter Park, Florida. We are looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join a rapidly growing practice of 2 female OBGYN physicians, a Midwife, and a Nurse Practitioner. We are committed to modern women's health practices in all aspects of maternity care and women's health. We believe in patient education, empowerment, and safety and put patients at the center of decision making as part of their individualized care plan. As such, midwifery is at the core of our patient-driven model. What makes us unique is our patient relationship philosophy. As a small private practice, we value open dialogue, commitment, team spirit, and a sense of humor. You will be joining a collaborative team with excellent patient clientele! Your 2 physician partners are dedicated, organized, and always present. You will work directly along side both physicians, caring for women throughout their life cycle, including adolescent care, obstetrics care, routine gynecology care, perimenopausal, and menopausal care. You will have an open invitation to participate in the development of protocols and office work flows. Job functions include:
Working closely with physicians and office staff in a team environment to provide 5 star patient customer service at all times Applying evidence based medicine pertinent to obstetrical and gynecological medicine to improve outcomes Evaluating and treating gynecologic and obstetrics needs of our patients; pregnant and postpartum women including managing all aspects of pre-natal visits Performing the nursing duties related to midwifery including labor and delivery care, care after birth, and newborn care Ordering, interpreting and incorporating diagnostic tests, studies, and lab results into the plan of care; evaluating effectiveness of the plan of care, and making adjustments as necessary Formulating appropriate diagnosis based on patient history, physical examination and clinical findings and provides detailed documentation in a timely manner in EMR system Performing well-woman gynecology and family planning exams including IUD and Nexplanon insertions Assisting physicians with cesarean deliveries Prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges Emphasizing patient education through active participation and clear communication with patients to create a tailored health care experience Advocating birth education, natural childbirth, and the participation of the entire family Documenting via Athena Health EMR system Practicing safe procedures and adheres to infection control and safety guidelines at all times Participating in

Central Florida Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Nursing Midwifery 2-3 years experience as midwife in hospital / clinical setting Experience as first assistant for cesarean sections Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in collaboration with an MD/CNM practice Value shared decision making and evidence based medicine practices Licensure and Certification requirements: Valid Florida License Certification by American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM)
ACLS / BLS
Lactation Certification - preferred
