Job Description
Position Summary The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide comprehensive care across the reproductive lifespan, including prenatal, labor and birth, postpartum, newborn, gynecological, and well-woman services. The CNM will work collaboratively with the Lead Practice CNM and support the continued growth of our home birth and women's wellness programs. The ideal candidate is confident in independent clinical decision-making, values physiologic birth, embraces informed choice, and is comfortable integrating faith into patient care when appropriate and desired by clients. Be a committed Christian actively practicing their faith Demonstrate a lifestyle consistent with biblical values Be comfortable discussing faith and offering prayer when requested by clients Support the mission of providing Christ-centered healthcare Serve patients with compassion, humility, integrity, and excellence Essential Responsibilities Provide prenatal, labor, birth, postpartum, and newborn care Attend planned home births throughout the practice service area Provide well-woman and gynecological services in the office setting Order, interpret, and manage laboratory and diagnostic testing Develop individualized care plans for clients Collaborate with the Lead Practice CNM, consulting physicians, referral partners, students, and birth/midwife assistants when indicated to ensure comprehensive, safe, and coordinated client care Maintain timely and accurate electronic medical records Participate in on-call schedules and backup coverage Support patient education initiatives and childbirth preparation Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities Assist with practice development and community outreach efforts Maintain all required licensure, certifications, and continuing education Qualifications Required Current Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification Active North Carolina APRN and RN licensure (or eligibility for licensure) Current BLS and NRP certification Ability to travel throughout the practice service area Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Preferred Experience in community birth or home birth settings Experience in women's wellness and preventive healthcare Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Experience in faith-based healthcare environments Passion for physiologic birth and family-centered care
