CEO / Lead Collaborating Physician Position Summary Healthy Family Services of Texas is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and dedicated Part-Time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to provide full-scope midwifery care for our Lewisville community. In this role, you will manage a blend of outpatient clinical care (prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological) and intrapartum care, including attending active labor and delivering babies at our affiliated local hospital. This position is ideal for a practitioner seeking a flexible, part-time schedule with a competitive hourly compensation structure who wants to maintain a rewarding, hands-on, full-scope practice. Key Responsibilities Qualifications & Requirements 1. Intrapartum & Delivery Care Manage, assess, and support patients during active labor, providing continuous monitoring and physiologic support during birth. Conduct safe, independent management of spontaneous vaginal deliveries, episiotomies/laceration repairs, and immediate postpartum stabilization. Coordinate closely with the on-call OB/GYN physician for high-risk complications, operative deliveries, or emergencies. Maintain hospital clinical privileges and adhere to the Medical City Lewisville medical staff bylaws. 2. Clinical Outpatient Care Provide full-scope well-woman gynecological care, including annual exams, screening tests, and family planning/contraception counseling. Conduct comprehensive prenatal, antepartum, and postpartum clinic exams for low-to-moderate risk individuals. Diagnose, treat, and manage common acute health conditions within the midwifery scope of practice. Prescribe medications and medical devices in accordance with Texas prescriptive authority guidelines. 3. Documentation & Collaboration Complete, accurate, and timely electronic medical charting (EHR) for both clinic visits and hospital deliveries. Coordinate care transitions smoothly between the outpatient clinic and the hospital labor and delivery unit.
Education & Licensure Education:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited Nurse-Midwifery program.
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Texas.
Certification:
Current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
Certifications:
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certifications required.
Hospital Privileges:
Eligible for or currently holding active allied health professional privileges at Medical City Lewisville.
Prescriptive Authority:
Active DEA registration and Texas prescriptive authority (or eligible to obtain). Experience & Skills 1-2 years of full-scope midwifery experience (including independent delivery management) is preferred, though passionate new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds are welcome to apply. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred, given our diverse North Texas patient demographics.
Schedule & Working Conditions Schedule:
Part-time hours comprising a set number of clinic shifts per week (e.g., 1-2 days) plus participation in a shared, flexible on-call rotation for labor and delivery coverage .
Environment:
Split between a modern outpatient clinic office and the hospital's labor and delivery unit.
Compensation & Perks Hourly Rate:
Competitive hourly pay rate for clinic hours, with a structured hourly/differential rate for on-call and active hospital delivery hours (commensurate with experience).

Employer-covered malpractice insurance (including tail coverage for deliveries). Pro-rated reimbursement for professional licensure, DEA, and certification renewals.
