Locum, Six-Week Placement Embark on an exciting professional journey as a Band 6 Midwife at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust . We are seeking dynamic and skilled midwives for an initial six-week placement, offering both day and night shifts, as well as weekday and weekend opportunities. Work in a vibrant maternity setting with the chance to build your experience while enjoying flexible scheduling. Shift times available are 07:00 to 19:30 and 19:30 to 07:30.

What you will do:

Provide comprehensive midwifery care throughout the stages of pregnancy, labour, and postpartum periods. Offer personalised support and advice to expectant mothers and their families. Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care for mothers and babies. Conduct regular antenatal check-ups and assessments. Assist in the delivery process, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and child. Manage complications when they arise and escalate where necessary, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

Valid NMC registration as a Midwife. Previous NHS midwifery experience. Ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-paced maternity setting. Up-to-date mandatory training is preferred.
