Job Description

Where You'll Work Founded in 1973, Dignity Health - Methodist Hospital is a 158-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Sacramento, California. Serving over 80,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II NICU, heart care, cancer care, women's health, and neurology. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities The incumbent must be proficient in EEG and evoked potential testing of the neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. As a Neurodiagnostic Tech, you'll perform specialized tests like EEGs, providing crucial data for diagnosing neurological conditions.

Every day you'll prepare patients, monitor neurological activity, manage equipment, and process data for physician review.

To be successful in this role, you need strong technical skills, neuroanatomy knowledge, and problem-solving abilities. Compassionate care, attention to detail, and effective communication are paramount for accurate diagnoses. Accurately makes appointments for outpatients via phone with no more than 3-4 errors in a 6 month period. Correctly places electrodes in all testing modalities with 95-98% accuracy. Determined by random sampling. Distinguishes between patient artifact and equipment artifact and good documentation of cause and effective correcting to be determined by doctor's evaluation sheet and random sampling with less than 5% error rate Maintains efficient running lab by keeping adequate stock with no more than 5 ASAP calls to purchasing with rush orders annually. Accurately mails transcribed reports to doctors within 3-4 weeks in an efficient manner. Will achieve at least a 90% patient satisfaction rating. Completes filing of reports and purging of 60 records each month. Job Requirements Graduation from an accreditedNeurodiagnostic Technology training program or one (1) year experience.
