Additional Information About the Role Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Clinical Neurophysiologist to join their nationally ranked top team Barnes-Jewish Hospital is recognized as a national Epilepsy Center of Excellence, as well as a Level 4 Epilepsy. As pioneers in epilepsy treatment, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was one of the first hospitals in the United States to use brain surgery on a regular basis to treat patients with seizure disorders that were unresponsive to medications. Today, we continue to be leaders in our field, equipped with the latest tools, such as brain laser surgery, video EEG and intracranial electrode placement . Partnering with Washington University School of Medicine, we participate in clinical trials to continue improving our current treatment options, and test promising new treatments.
Summary of role:
This role works within our Epilepsy program and the medical provider group to provide EEG reading/screening support for EEG studies. Successful candidates will apply doctoral level neurophysiology training in the clinical EEG and EEG-video laboratories.Duties include:
screening video EEG, routine EEG, and intracranial EEG and Electrocorticography studies; drafting EEG reports, presenting clinical findings, participating in daily rounding as well as preparing for case presentations and participating in weekly pre-surgical conference, attending weekly seminars and clinical neurophysiologic classes, as needed/available.Hours :

Mon-Friday, weekend rotations required This position is non patient facing Board certification not required Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Neurodiagnostic Lab compliments Barnes-Jewish Hospital's Neuroscience division. Our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit is a Level IV Epilepsy Center, utilizing state of the art video monitoring equipment with a dedicated staff of Neurologists and Neurodiagnostic technologists. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides doctoral level neurophysiology expertise in the clinical neurophysiology EEG and EEG-video laboratories. Screens EEG and EEG-video data for background and epileptiform abnormalities. Responsibilities Edits and screens EEG data and video for technical quality. Manages non-medical patient flow issues. Approves service contracts onEEG, EEG
