Job Overview:
The Neurodiagnostic Technician is responsible for obtaining standard and complex recordings, as well as special procedures, EEG recording and advanced testing procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Successful completion of site personnel general orientation Successful completion of department specific orientation Successful completion of all required orientation programs BLS Certification through American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of neurodiagnostic experience EEG Tech Certification required within 1 year of hire
Scheduling Requirements:
Full-Time Evening Shift must be able to take on call shifts
Essential Functions:
Responsible for obtaining standard and complex recordings, as well as special procedures: EEG recording and advanced testing procedures Ability to be on-call for EEG and LTM patients Able to do all inpatient, outpatient and portable EEG testing Able to hook up/ clean up and take call for Long Term Video Monitoring testing Selects predetermined electrode combinations as necessary by the history of each individual patient Applies suitable electrodes as needed per study utilizing the 10/20
