Job Description

Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract Step into an advanced imaging environment as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist focusing on both PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine procedures. This contract assignment spans 13 weeks with a structured split schedule. Work Monday through Wednesday with 10-hour shifts in Santa Cruz, followed by a Saturday 10-hour shift in Fairfield. Enjoy consistent off days on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, offering a healthy work-life balance. The role requires travel between two locations, with Fairfield being under two hours from Santa Cruz.

Thursday, Friday, and Sunday Qualifications:
Valid CA State License for Nuclear Medicine Technologist Active NMTCB or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) certification Proficiency in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine imaging Prior experience working in fast-paced clinical settings Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices Exceptional patient care and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required Ensure accurate record-keeping and thorough documentation Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions promptly Educate patients on procedures, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns Follow all state, federal, and institutional guidelines for safety and compliance
