Job Description

Description Join our team as a Per Diem Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist and contribute your advanced expertise to delivering precise, high quality diagnostic imaging for our West Valley Hospital patients. In this key role, you will operate nuclear medicine equipment with expert proficiency, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient examinations that support exceptional patient care.
Primary duties include:
  • Provide per diem coverage during after-hours, weekends, and staff vacations or leaves.
  • Conduct patient interviews, communicating clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages to explain procedures, provide reassurance, and promote a positive experience.
  • Prepare, perform quality control, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceutical compounds.
  • Handle, prepare, witness, and administer adjunctive medications under direct physician supervision.
  • Perform patient imaging and therapeutic procedures, including computer processing and image enhancement.
Salary Range:
$71.48 - $79.42/hour Qualifications
  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Valid California Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) license issued by the Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch.
  • At least one year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Flexibility to work variable days and hours based on operational needs, including after-hours shifts (potentially up to midnight).
