Nuclear Medicine Technologist:

The nuclear Medicine technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. He/she exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures.

Required qualifications:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Coursework/Training:

Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.

Preferred Qualifications:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program). National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist

• Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire. Or National Registered Technologist
• Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire. California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire. National Provider BLS
• American Heart Association upon hire.

6 months of experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.

Pay:

Up to $167,000.00 per year
