POSITION SUMMARY
Boulder Community Health seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging procedures, ensure quality control and radiation safety, and provide excellent patient care.

Job Qualifications:
Education or Formal Training
  • Must be ARRT or CNMT registered or registry eligible. Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)
  • NMTCB and/or ARRT certifications
  • BLS required by end of conditional period. Knowledge, Skill and Ability
  • Must have intricate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and a basic understanding of human physiology.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Able to adapt exam routines and techniques when necessary to optimize quality of exams.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with radiologists and other physicians.
  • Must have moderate computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle stress.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture.
  • Knowledge of sterile preparation and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of all facets of nuclear medicine imaging and processing techniques, equipment and radiation safety.
  • Working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical kit prep and QC procedures. Experience
  • Registered or registry eligible according to department policy. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provides quality patient care.
  • Performs exams using good judgment in scanning, photographing, and documenting anatomy/pathology.
  • Assists the radiologist and other physicians with interpretation of exams.
  • Assists the radiologists and other physicians with invasive procedures.
  • Transports patients to and from department or other areas within the hospital.
  • Performs administration of radioactive material (oral and IV).
  • Coordinates clinical information and previous testing to determine if additional views or organs need be imaged.
  • Manages radiopharmaceuticals including proper labeling, injection techniques, QC, patient ID, and ordering.
  • Administer adjunctive medications according to established protocol.
