POSITION SUMMARY
Boulder Community Health seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging procedures, ensure quality control and radiation safety, and provide excellent patient care.Benefits:

Job Qualifications:
Education or Formal Training- Must be ARRT or CNMT registered or registry eligible. Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)
- NMTCB and/or ARRT certifications
- BLS required by end of conditional period. Knowledge, Skill and Ability
- Must have intricate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and a basic understanding of human physiology.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Able to adapt exam routines and techniques when necessary to optimize quality of exams.
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work closely with radiologists and other physicians.
- Must have moderate computer and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle stress.
- Ability to perform venipuncture.
- Knowledge of sterile preparation and procedures.
- Working knowledge of all facets of nuclear medicine imaging and processing techniques, equipment and radiation safety.
- Working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical kit prep and QC procedures. Experience
- Registered or registry eligible according to department policy. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides quality patient care.
- Performs exams using good judgment in scanning, photographing, and documenting anatomy/pathology.
- Assists the radiologist and other physicians with interpretation of exams.
- Assists the radiologists and other physicians with invasive procedures.
- Transports patients to and from department or other areas within the hospital.
- Performs administration of radioactive material (oral and IV).
- Coordinates clinical information and previous testing to determine if additional views or organs need be imaged.
- Manages radiopharmaceuticals including proper labeling, injection techniques, QC, patient ID, and ordering.
- Administer adjunctive medications according to established protocol.
