Job Summary and Qualifications Nuclear Medical Technologist Our Imaging Teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As our new Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. Your tasks and responsibilities may include: You will use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans. You will prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders. You may administer and record dosages as well. Performs diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film. You will position patients and adjust immobilization devices. You will compassionately explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns. You will monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation. You may assist with transporting patients.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is a 400 bed acute care hospital in Brandon, FL. We offer many services including a heart & vascular center, behavioral health center and a women's center. Our women's center includes a 36 bed neonatal intensive care unit.
