Job Description
A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its clinical team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced patient care environment and is committed to providing high-quality service. The successful candidate will work with both adult and pediatric patients and will be responsible for performing imaging procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, maintaining quality control standards, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Essential Responsibilities Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to established protocols. Prepare patients for imaging, including IV placement when appropriate. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals. Process and review imaging studies. Perform daily equipment quality control procedures. Complete all required hot lab activities in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Conduct daily constancy checks, radiation surveys, and weekly wipe tests. Coordinate radiopharmaceutical orders based on the patient schedule. Maintain accurate patient, regulatory, and quality assurance documentation. Perform required quality assurance testing, including leak tests and dose calibrator testing. Monitor and maintain clinical supply inventory. Adhere to all safety, radiation protection, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in the applicable state. Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team. Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach to care. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required.
