This position offers a dynamic opportunity to utilize your expertise in performing PET (& CT) scans, while working with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment. Duties In collaboration with our Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely, adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Operate advanced imaging equipment, including PET scanners, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Assist Radiologists by providing detailed physiological and anatomical information relevant to each case. Educate patients about procedures, ensuring they understand the process and addressing any concerns to promote comfort and cooperation. Maintain meticulous records of procedures performed, radiopharmaceuticals used, and patient data in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning. Experience Proven experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, ideally within an outpatient setting. Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine techniques and PET scans, with the ability to operate related imaging equipment confidently. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology concepts, and diagnostic evaluation processes. Experience implementing aseptic techniques during radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration. Excellent understanding of medical imaging principles and safety protocols related to radiation exposure.
