Job Summary and Qualifications Nuclear Medical Technologist Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are seeking a Florida-licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans Prepare, administer and record dosages of radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders P erform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film Position patients and adjust immobilization devices Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address any concerns Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH) May also assist with transporting patients as needed Qualifications High School Graduate or GED Associate Degree Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program (AMA-approved institution) Clear/Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Current NMTCB or ARRT (NM) credential Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of specialty equipment tools: GAMMA cameras Ability t o perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
