Nuclear Medicine Technologist We're actively hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a full-time, permanent position at a hospital in Hawaii . Position Overview The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing specialized diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to help detect and evaluate a wide range of medical conditions. This role plays a critical part in patient care by preparing and administering radioactive materials, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring accurate image acquisition for physician interpretation. Working closely with physicians, radiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares patients for procedures, explains imaging processes, and monitors patients throughout examinations to ensure safety and comfort. The technologist performs a variety of nuclear medicine studies, evaluates image quality, and follows strict radiation safety and regulatory guidelines to protect patients, staff, and themselves. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist also maintains detailed documentation in the electronic medical record, manages radiopharmaceutical handling and storage according to established protocols, and ensures imaging equipment is functioning properly. Through precision, technical expertise, and patient-focused care, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist supports accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning while maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment.
