Required License/Registration/Certification Registered Nuclear Med Tech at time of hire; Basic Life Support certification via AHA within 90 days of hire Physical Requirements This position requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of time. Lifting and positioning patients may also be required. Shift Flexible day shift Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am - 8:30 pm. Rotational on-call is required. The University of Kentucky is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our outstanding Nuclear Medicine Team at the University of Kentucky Healthcare . This specialized area delivers exceptional Nuclear Medicine services to our valued patients across the University of Kentucky Healthcare System. Your Role as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Provide Nuclear Medicine procedures/therapy in a safe, efficient manner according to departmental, hospital, state and federal guidelines. Manage patient throughput, quality control, inventory, equipment evaluation and calibration, billing accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Execute diagnostic studies and interventional procedures following policies/procedures for radiation and patient safety. Effectively communicate using strong attention to detail for excellent customer service and technological proficiency. New Starting Pay Rate - The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted based on current demand for this role. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $31.14/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.

/ Abilities The ideal candidate will have effective communication, strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, customer service excellence, a willingness to learn new skills, and technological proficiency. Key strengths include problem-solving, teamwork and collaboration, customer service, clear verbal and written communication, and a proactive approach. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program with training in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT preferred.
