Job Description
Shift :
Part time between Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM. Some call rotations for nights, weekends and holidays are required.Department :

Articulate a precise understanding of how data flows in and out of the modality work area. Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with the management team on ways to improve the department in general and the facility overall. Seek ways to improve systems and services. Assist with the education and instruction of student technologists and all others rotating through the area to learn. Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing Nuclear Medicine work assignments in an ethical manner. Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times. Adhere to NRC and state safety regulations and standards. Demonstrate ability to perform routine quality controls for imaging equipment and radioactivity assaying devices. Assist the Medical Physicist in performing additional quality assurance testing as needed. Administer nonradioactive pharmaceuticals required in conjunction with nuclear medicine imaging, according to hospital and facility procedures, under the guidance of the Radiologist. Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation, and Thank You). Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a nuclear medicine program or degree. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in nuclear medicine. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
