Job Description
Find your calling at Mercy! The Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Lead performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, mostly nuclear medicine imaging, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities also include serving as lead when direct leadership is unavailable, coordinating daily work assignments and assisting in training. The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist requires proficiency and thorough understanding of operating imaging equipment and procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining imaging standards. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and required clinical hours have been completed.Experience:
Two (2) years of relevant experienceLicensure:
State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.Certification/Registration:
NMTCB or ARRT (N); Basic Life Support (BLS)Preferred Qualifications:

Through knowledge and understanding of biohazard safety and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations Thorough knowledge and understanding of proper radiation safety by following ALARA standards Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage schedules, and coordinate daily operations. Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills. Thorough understanding of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
