Job Description

Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract Step into a vital healthcare role, contributing your expertise in nuclear medicine as part of a dedicated imaging team. This position centers on PET/CT technology, requiring hands-on experience with the GE Discovery IQ imaging system. The assignment is designed for an accomplished professional who meets stringent credentialing and licensure criteria.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday Four 10-hour shifts each week
Assignment Duration:
13 weeks
Candidate Qualifications:
Current CNMT or ARRT(N), and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT) certification Valid New York State license for Nuclear Medicine and CT BLS certification for Healthcare Providers Demonstrated experience with GE Discovery IQ or similar PET/CT equipment Ability to fulfill the required minimum of 36 hours per week throughout the assignment
Preferred Experience:
Proficiency in both PET and CT protocols Strong knowledge of imaging safety practices, radiopharmaceutical handling, and patient preparation Effective communication and teamwork skills, ensuring smooth collaboration with medical staff and high-quality patient care
Key Responsibilities:
Perform PET/CT imaging procedures using the GE Discovery IQ scanner in accordance with established protocols Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and monitor patient reactions during exams Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation Adhere to facility safety, infection control, and quality assurance policies Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to deliver diagnostic-quality results This opportunity is ideal for a skilled technologist who values precision, patient-centered care, and professional growth within a collaborative setting.
