Job Description

The Director of Nuclear Medicine is responsible for the overall leadership, management, operations, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth of the Nuclear Medicine department across all locations. This position ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and radiation safety regulations. The Director oversees departmental staff, equipment, protocols, and operational performance and serves as a key liaison between clinical, administrative, and leadership. Leadership & Operations Direct and oversee the daily operations of all Nuclear Medicine locations. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Nuclear Medicine supervisors, technologists, and support staff. Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, procedures, and best practices. Monitor productivity, workflow efficiency, patient throughput, and service excellence. Collaborate with physicians and senior leadership to improve clinical operations and patient outcomes. Participate in strategic planning and departmental expansion initiatives. Traveling to multiple Zwanger-Pesiri locations throughout the week will be required. Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Radiologic Sciences, or related field preferred. Master's degree preferred. Certifications Current ARRT(N) and/or CNMT certification required. Current state licensure where applicable. BLS certification required. Experience Minimum of 5 years of Nuclear Medicine clinical experience. Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership or management experience. Multi-site imaging leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and radiation safety requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Comprehensive knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and imaging equipment. Understanding of healthcare operations, budgeting, and performance management. Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records and radiology information systems. Working Conditions Full-time position. Travel required between all Nuclear Medicine locations. May require occasional evening, weekend, or on-call availa
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Radiologic Sciences, or related field preferred.
