Job Description

Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Nuclear Medicine Position Summary Summary:
The technologist performs Quality control test and operates Nuclear Medicine equipment. Under the supervision of the physician perform quality patient scans and measurements. Handles Radiopharmaceuticals as per guidelines. Injects Radioisotopes into patients accurately and safely. Performs technical and Clerical work as needed. Follows regulating agencies rules and regulations. Performs on-call work. Perform other duties or assignments as required.
Qualifications Responsibilities:
Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Experience And Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English • PET experience preferred and CT registration preferred License/Certifications N.M.T.C.B or ARRT (NM) required New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist License.
Working Conditions Other information:
Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Physical demands must include good motor coordination and finger dexterity to operate instruments and to administer radiopharmaceuticals. Must be able to transfer non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients to and from imaging tables. Moderate to heavy lifting. Hand washing and hand hygiene and wear hospital gloves.
