2 Description American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a day shift hospital position, with PET/CT and SPECT experience on Siemens equipment required. Details Adult inpatient hospital setting in a Nuclear Medicine department Department does not perform nuclear cardiology exams Procedures include PET scans, SPECT imaging, bone scans, brain scans, lung scans, renal studies, gastric emptying, HIDA scans, liver/spleen scans, thyroid studies, cancer surveys, and cerebral blood flow studies Equipment includes Siemens and Philips gamma cameras Epic EMR experience preferred Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their clinical scope based on facility needs Requirements ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration BLS required; PET certification preferred Experience with Siemens nuclear medicine equipment required Proficiency in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine imaging required Skills include bone scans (3-phase, whole body, limited), SPECT imaging, lung scans (ventilation/perfusion, DTPA aerosol), renal studies (flow/function, with Lasix), and liver/spleen imaging Ability to start and maintain IVs, draw venous blood, and handle/store/dispose of radioactive materials Experience with isolation precautions and PPE License required if applicable First-time travelers are welcome to apply Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration Onsite orientation includes non-billable compliance modules, estimated at 2-3 hours for allied health professionals Travel pairs or groups will not be considered for this position
