1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a Diagnostic Imaging department, requiring

ARRT/NMTCB

registration and BLS certification for a 13-week travel assignment. Details Diagnostic Imaging department in an acute care hospital setting Nuclear medicine procedures including radiopharmaceutical preparation, administration, and diagnostic imaging 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday Potential to float to other departments within clinical scope before core staff is floated Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an ARRT/NMTCB-accredited Nuclear Medicine program ARRT or NMTCB registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (license required if applicable) Current BLS certification Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferred Proficiency with radiation detection, imaging equipment, and radiopharmaceutical administration Ability to perform venipuncture Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and frequently push, pull, or reposition patients or objects up to 25 lbs Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift Additional Information Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, selecting and operating imaging equipment, positioning patients, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and evaluating images for technical quality Verifies informed consent and assists licensed practitioners with interventional procedures Participates in department quality assessment and improvement initiatives, which may include specific quality control and inventory responsibilities May provide practical instruction to students and other healthcare professionals If the assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required Fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and medical equipment; PPE use is required
