1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years experience and ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification for a 12-week acute care assignment. Details Acute care hospital setting within the Nuclear Medicine department Department currently has 1 scanner with a second in process of installation Common studies include cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans Average of 12 scans per day, including approximately 2 cardiac studies Uses Siemens Symbia T6 equipment
EMR/PACS
systems include Meditech, Fuji Synapse PACS, and NMIS Radiologist in-house until 5pm with remote read coverage until midnight Rotating shifts, 8 or 10 hours, totaling 40 hours per week Weekend and holiday coverage required On-call requirement Required to float between Bryan and College Station campuses (16 minutes apart) as needed First to float based on unit needs Requirements Minimum 2 years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist BLS certification required ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required

(Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist) verification required Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted License required if applicable Must be proficient in starting IVs Copy of driver's license required for legal name verification Additional Information Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging studies including cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans Black scrubs are provided Department-specific orientation provided 12 hours of general orientation included Candidates who have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year will not be considered; PRN employment through outside staffing firms is acceptable Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may result in termination from the assignment
