Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification Full Job Description Primary Purpose:
Responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures tailored to patient needs, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Science, or allied health field.
Experience:
None required.
Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Must hold an active MRT certification from the Texas Medical Board, current ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or CNMT certification within 6 months, and CPR certification from approved organizations.
Skills/Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine technologies, chemistry, physics, and biomedical sciences; basic EKG knowledge; ability to administer injections and operate gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, PET/CT scanners, and cardiac stress equipment; basic understanding of nuclear medicine therapies.
Responsibilities:
Perform quality control, troubleshoot equipment, document procedures, consult with physicians, and ensure compliance with guidelines. Identify process improvements, provide clinical training, stay updated on advancements, and foster collaborative relationships. Ensure adherence to rules, regulations, and accreditation standards through internal controls.
