1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience and ARRT-N or NMTCB certification. Details 101-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with two Nuclear Medicine suites — one in the hospital and one in the clinic Nuclear Medicine unit serves both inpatient and outpatient populations, including ED patients Average caseload of 4-6 patients per tech per day Procedures include cardiac scans, stress/rest tests, HIDA scans, renal scans, gastric studies, DAT scans, VQ scans, GI bleeds, and I-131 administration Equipment includes a Spectrum Dynamics D-Spect chair (clinic) and GE Discovery 850 (hospital) EMR is Epic; PACS is Change Healthcare Monday-Friday day shifts, typically 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week) One weeknight call shift per week from 4:00 PM-7:00 AM and one weekend of call per month (Friday EOS through Monday 7:00 AM) Candidate will float between the clinic and main hospital, spending approximately one month at a time in each area (both located in the same building) Up to 50% of holidays during the contract may require on-call coverage Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience, with most recent experience within the last year Active ARRT-N or NMTCB certification required Current BLS required Active state license required if applicable Experience with the procedures listed in the job details, including handling of radioactive isotopes 30-minute call-back response time required At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN is required for consideration Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions apply Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible Preferred experience includes Pluvicto therapies for prostate cancer and Y90 mapping Department support includes one additional Nuclear Medicine Tech, an Imaging Assistant/Transporter, Patient Service Reps, and a Scheduler; a Cardiologist (clinic) and Radiologist are available for reads, and a Manager is present on weekdays Rapid Response and Code Team support is available Orientation includes a facility new employee orientation (NEO) followed by departmental orientation during the remainder of the first week Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved during the contract Scrubs must be a solid color with no graphics, logos, or designs Free parking is available on-site
