Job Description

Locum tenens CRNA needed for full-time coverage at a busy Level I Adult Trauma center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Work within a collaborative anesthesia team managing a high-volume, diverse surgical caseload.
Schedule and Availability Full-time:
Monday-Friday primary schedule Standard shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (8 hours) with flexibility in shift length and location as staffing requires Must be available for nights, weekends, and call (shared CRNA call rotation)
Call:
approximately one weekend every other month; Saturday/Sunday beeper call
Requirement:
full-time availability (4 weeks per month). Day-only availability not accepted Practice Setting and Volume Hospital-based anesthesia practice at an Adult Level I Trauma Center with Pediatric Level II Trauma and Level
III NICU
High volume: ~1,200 surgical cases per month Care team model: ~80% independent cases, ~20% medically directed/supervised Case Mix Broad mix including:
Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Urology, Electrophysiology, OMFS, Oncology, Dental, Vascular, Thoracic, Gastroenterology Majority:
Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, Plastic, Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology Required Clinical Experience and Certifications Active CRNA license and board certification Minimum 2 years post-graduate CRNA experience (no new graduates) Pediatric anesthesia experience required Comfortable with: Adult Level I Trauma, Pediatric Level II Trauma, Level III NICU, trauma cases, cardiothoracic procedures, obstetrics Current BLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications Epic EMR (Epic proficiency test-out available)
Facility and Credentialing Facility:
Adult Level I Trauma Center; Pediatric Level II Trauma Center; Level
III NICU
Rush credentialing available; temporary privileges possible in 3-4 weeks with a clean file and active Florida license Additional Requirements Candidates must reside outside Florida (Florida-based providers will not be considered) Must provide current out-of-state driver's license with submission Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and take call as required
