Paramedic - PRN Newbury Anesthesia Partners Boston, MA Job Details Travel healthcare | Per diem $30 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications PACU experience Teamwork PALS Certification ACLS Certification Paramedic License Critical care experience Full Job Description Per Diem Paramedic (Office-Based Dental Anesthesia)Job Summary Newbury Anesthesia Partners is seeking an experienced Paramedic to join our team on a per diem basis, assisting with office-based dental anesthesia throughout Massachusetts. This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible supplemental income with no minimum commitment . Pick up as many or as few days as your schedule allows. Typical hours are 6:00 AM-2:00/3:00 PM, Monday through Friday , with occasional Saturdays. As part of the anesthesia team, you will assist with patient monitoring, recovery, emergency preparedness, and ensuring safe, high-quality anesthesia care in outpatient dental offices. Responsibilities Assist the dentist anesthesiologist during office-based anesthesia cases. Prepare and organize anesthesia equipment, medications, and emergency supplies. Obtain and document patient vital signs before, during, and after anesthesia. Continuously monitor patients throughout anesthesia and recovery. Assist with IV placement, airway management, and patient positioning as directed. Maintain a safe recovery area and monitor patients until discharge criteria are met. Assist during emergency situations according to established protocols. Ensure emergency medications and equipment are stocked and ready for use. Complete accurate patient documentation. Help maintain compliance with state regulations and office safety standards. Qualifications Current Massachusetts Paramedic license ACLS certification required PALS certification strongly preferred Experience with procedural sedation, critical care, EMS, ED, ICU, PACU, OR, or transport medicine preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable working independently in outpatient dental offices Willingness to travel throughout Massachusetts What We Offer Flexible per diem scheduling No minimum commitment—work as your schedule allows Daytime hours (typically 6:00 AM-2:00/3:00 PM) Opportunity to work in a collaborative office-based anesthesia practice
