Job Description

Join a supportive, well-equipped team in Sault Ste. Marie, MI for a locum CRNA role blending clinic hours with on-call coverage. You'll manage a diverse outpatient caseload with some inpatient responsibilities, working with modern systems (EPIC, Dragon) in a collegial environment.
Schedule and Workload Clinic:
Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Call rotation: 1:4 or 1:5 (includes weekdays and weekends) Weekday call: 3:00 PM-7:00 AM Weekend call: 3:00 PM Friday-7:00 AM Monday Typical weekend commitment: one night of call per week Case mix: ~85% outpatient, ~15% inpatient Case Types Endoscopy, general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, urology Regional blocks preferred but not required No cardiac or neurosurgical cases Key Responsibilities Provide anesthesia care across the listed procedures in both outpatient and inpatient settings Respond to scheduled call for urgent and emergent cases Perform neuraxial techniques (spinals, epidurals) and place venous and arterial catheters Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care Qualifications 1-2 years CRNA experience preferred Proficiency with spinals, epidurals, venous and arterial catheter placement NBCRNA certification Active Michigan CRNA license (required) Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Location Sault Ste. Marie sits on the St. Mary's River in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, offering scenic outdoor recreation—hiking, fishing, and parks—along with a relaxed pace of life and easy access to Canadian attractions.
