Description:
Current Need:
Equivalent of 1.0 FTE to work at Mission Hospital McDowell for a June 15 start. Qualifications Must have an active NC license or IMLC allowing faster NC license processingExperienced in OB requiredRegional anesthesia course certification highly preferredMust be able to produce case logs showing regional and OB proficiencyMust be comfortable in a highly autonomous environment including solo call Mission Hospital McDowell is an acute care hospital offering general, OB
  • roughly 200 deliveries annually, ortho, endo Number of beds: 30 inpatient beds Daily patient volume: Average 150 cases per month
Hospital Support Staff:
1 MD + 3 CRNAs in house daily Daily shift requirement: Mixture of 8s, 10s, or 12 hour in-house shifts Monday Friday. Unrestricted beeper call 5pm 7am Monday Friday and 7am 7am Saturday Sunday. CRNAs will be taking call 1 every 4 nights as either primary call or secondary call. Call is required When on call, you will function as a solo provider without the supervision of an anesthesiologist.
Intensity of call:
greater than 50% call back rate when on primary call, mostly due to add on cases or cases during the day and epidural placements overnight
