Job Description

Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist Position Overview Seeking a Board Certified Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist to provide locum coverage at a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The position focuses on cardiac anesthesia for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart procedures, with occasional coverage of general operating room cases.

$220/hr

$445/hr
Holiday:
$665/hr
Nightly Call:
$1,1670 per night call to hold the pager, to include 2.5 hours gratis
Holiday Nightly Call:
$1,750 On Call (Daily): $3,580 24

Monday Friday:
8 10 hour day shifts Unrestricted overnight call Weekend call required Full-time (1.0 FTE) Practice Setting Hospital-based Inpatient Level I Trauma Center Academic medical center 187-bed hospital 15 main operating rooms 3 endoscopy suites 2 EP labs Responsibilities Provide anesthesia for: Open heart surgery Thoracic surgery Vascular surgery Structural heart procedures Perform and interpret Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Provide general operating room anesthesia coverage as needed Occasionally supervise CRNAs Case Mix Approximately cardiac surgical cases annually Adult and geriatric patients only No pediatric cases EMR Epic Requirements Board Certified in Anesthesiology Board Certified/Testamur in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) TEE Certified (required) Completion of an ACGME-approved (or international equivalent) Cardiovascular Anesthesiology Fellowship Nebraska license or IMLC preferred (license assistance available) Clean malpractice and background history Current Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days) Must be available for the requested coverage dates Additional Information Level I Trauma Center Academic practice environment Two cardiac surgeons on staff Hands-on clinical role with occasional CRNA supervision Ongoing general OR support in addition to cardiovascular anesthesia
