Full Job Description Description:
X-Ray Associates of New Mexico (XRANM) is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our Interventional Radiology team as independent contractors (1099) in Albuquerque, NM. Join a well-established organization with over 70 years of service in the New Mexico medical community and be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. Position Summary The CRNA will provide conscious sedation services for a variety of Interventional Radiology procedures under the supervision of Interventional Radiologists. This role plays a key part in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and positive procedural outcomes. This is an outpatient-only setting with a consistent weekday schedule and no nights, weekends, holidays, or call . Key Responsibilities Administer and manage conscious sedation for Interventional Radiology procedures. Monitor patients before, during, and after sedation to ensure safety and stability. Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to support procedural workflow. Assess patient condition and medical history to determine sedation readiness. Respond promptly to changes in patient status during procedures. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sedation and patient care. Follow all facility protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure patient comfort and deliver a high standard of peri-procedural care.
Requirements:
Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification required. Active RN license (New Mexico or compact state eligible). Minimum 1 year of experience in conscious sedation (required). ACLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently in an outpatient procedural environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
