Patient Population:
Pediatrics, Adolescents, and Adults Procedures:
General anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), regional anesthesia Arterial/central line placement, ventilation management, acute volume/BP management Ultrasound-guided block placement Specialized procedures in out-of-operating-room settings such as
GI, Cath Lab, MRI, and IR Department:
Level 1 Trauma Center with high-acuity patient population 28 ORs with 100 cases per day (45% general, 15% OB, 15% cardiac, 5% thoracic/vascular, 10% ortho) Support from 2 NPs, 1 RN, 17 Anesthesia MDs, and 40+ CRNAs ACT model 4:1 ratio of CRNAs to anesthesiologists
Requirements:
Board Certification:
Must be NBCRNA certified
Licensing:
Must hold a valid South Carolina license
Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, PALS
required
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience
Charting System:
Epic experience preferred
Trauma Level I Experience:
Preferred but not required
Additional Information:
This position provides full-time coverage with flexibility in scheduling. CRNAs will be responsible for delivering anesthesia services to a mixed patient population of adults and pediatrics. The department covers a wide range of cases including healthy pediatrics, NICU, complex orthopedic, thoracic, vascular (excluding open hearts), neuro, and OB.
